Product Extended Warranty:

VEPI’s Power products are designed and built with quality performance and durability as the goal. Consequently, VEPI offers an extended warranty to the original end-user. If properly installed, maintained, and operated following the product manual, its Power Generating Systems configured by VEPI with its power units (“Power Systems”) are free from defects in material and workmanship. Should a defect manifest during this warranty period, VEPI will, at its sole discretion, repair, replace, or otherwise resolve the issue to equipment operation satisfaction.

Three (3) years from "Coverage Start Date," or 8,760 hours (whichever comes first)

 

* Unit Registration with Proof of Purchase, and Maintenance record completed, needs to be logged in the online registry and available on-site.

* Warranty is transferable between ownership of the original installation site.

Steel enclosures are warranted against rusting for the first year of ownership only. Damage caused after receipt of a generator is the owner's responsibility and is not covered by this warranty. Nicks, scrapes, dents, or scratches to the painted enclosure should be repaired promptly by the owner. 

 


All warranty expense allowances are subject to the conditions defined in Valencia Energy & Power, Inc.'s Warranty Policies, Procedures, and Flat Rate Manual.

GUIDELINES:

 

FOR THIS WARRANTY TO STAY IN FULL FORCE, THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES ARE REQUIRED:

 

1. Only VEPI’s certified electrical technician shall do the final site inspection, testing, and startup of the Power Generating Systems (or Units).

2. This warranty covers the original owner and is only transferable between the original installation site's ownership and the non-lapsed enrollment on the extended warranty program.

3. The installation shall only be considered adequate if performed by VEPI’s technicians or its authorized distributors, dealers, or approved licensed service agents.

4. Only VEPI’s technicians or authorized service agents should perform any warranty repairs and related diagnostics.

5. VEPI, in its sole discretion, may choose to repair, replace, or reach other resolutions to the satisfaction of the original owner.

6. Claimant making a claiming direct must provide satisfactory proof of the performance of all required maintenance by VEPI’s technicians, or VEPI, or its authorized distributors, dealer, and service agents.

7. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), components in VEPI’s power units or systems, may also be covered under the manufacturer’s warranty (the “OEM Warranties”). We may process claims for defects in material and/or workmanship on OEM components through the OEM distributor and dealer network. 

8. Beyond the first year, and without the non-lapsed enrollment on the extended warranty program, VEPI shall neither guarantee nor assumes any liability under any other warranties.

 

THIS WARRANTY WILL NOT APPLY OR COVER THE FOLLOWING:

 

Damage Caused By Third Parties Interposition:

 

1. Improper installation, maintenance, alterations, and or operation (done by third Parties) not authorize or certified in writing by VEPI to work on our power systems. 


2. Damages related to shipping, or relocation, due to the use of means deemed an unsuitable mode of transportation or improper handling or caused by accident.

3. Damage caused by miss using the unit with modifications, alterations, or power systems that do not have original replacement parts or operation at speeds and loads contrary to product specifications and extended disuse.    

4. Damage or failure occasioned by misuse, abuse, and other negligent treatment and handling while in the custody of the owner of any other third party not authorized by VEPI.

5. Any modification, alteration, or connection to any other power generating system, unsuitable, or incompatible power equipment(s).

6. Damages related to the misuse by the owner, or end-user, or another third party not authorized by VEPI, or adapting parts or components including Transfer Switches that VEPI has not recommended.

7. Use as other than as a stationary fixed power-generating system for the original owner or end-user, except as may be permitted in the product-specific VEPI’s product manual. 

8. Use of units for an application that has not been designed for or indicated by VEPI. (Samples: a stationary unit used for rental or mobile). This power-generating unit's warranty is voided and null.

9. Exposure to harmful or natural human-made elements, including harsh environmental conditions. Or exposure to rodents or any other animal infestation.

10. Damages associated with an Act of God or causes that are reasonably outside the control of the VEPI, including but not limited to earthquakes, windstorms, lightning, wildfire, wars, riots, governmental actions including seizures or sealing of power system, etc.

11. The cost associated with acquiring other alternative power supplies during the time of warranty repair, part replacement, or maintenance.

12. System installation in places or work completed by technicians that do not meet the requirements for the company. 

13. Any VEPI power systems used as rental or trailer mounted applications or marine applications (except as specifically included and order initially from the factory).

14. Costs of routine maintenance (i.e., tune-ups and associated parts), adjustments, loose/leaking clamps, installation, and start-up. 


15. Steel enclosures that are rusting due to improper installation, location in a harsh or salt-water environment, or scratched where the integrity of 
paint applied are compromised.

16. Failures are caused by any contaminated oils, coolants, or lack of proper fluid amounts. 


17. Failures due (but limited to normal wear and tear), accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper installation. As with all mechanical 
devices, the VEPI drive motors need periodic part(s) service and replacement to perform as designed. This warranty will not cover repair when 
normal use has exhausted the life of a part(s) or motor. 


18. Any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages caused by defects in materials or workmanship or any delay in repairing or replacing the 
defective part(s).

19. Telephone, cellular phone, facsimile, internet access, or other communication expenses. 


20. Living or travel expenses of person(s) performing service, except as specifically included within the terms of a specific unit warranty period. 


21. Expenses and fees related to "customer instruction" or troubleshooting where no manufacturing defect is found. 


22. Rental equipment used while warranty repairs are being performed and/or overnight freight costs for replacement part(s). 

23. Costs incurred for equipment used for removal and/or reinstallation of the generator (i.e., cranes, hoists, lifts, etc.)

24. Planes, ferries, railroads, buses, helicopters, snowmobiles, snow-cats, off-road vehicles, or any other mode of transport deemed abnormal. 

25. Any overtime pay, extra labor pay, holiday labor pay, emergency labor pay, or hazard pay. 

26. Starting batteries, light bulbs, grease, and fluids. 


 

THIS WARRANTY IS IN PLACE OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. THIS IS AN EXCLUSIVE WRITTEN WARRANTY.  VEPI MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS TO THE MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NO ONE IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY OTHER WARRANTIES ON BEHALF OF VEPI. ANY IMPLIED OR STATUTORY WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS WARRANTY. VEPI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WHERE SUCH DAMAGES ARE A DIRECT RESULT OF VEPI’S NEGLIGENCE.

SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS OR THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL AND/OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
